How It Begun

To be honest, we don’t have a big, inspiring origin story. Monchi began as a student project sparked by a simple, playful question: what if plates were more like puppets?

It grew from late nights, scrappy prototypes, and just enough student-budget savings to bring the first version to life.

At first, it was a fun way to encourage kids to eat their veggies. Later, it became a contactless way to snack, especially during the height of COVID.

You might’ve seen Monchi on TikTok, but behind it all were just three industrial design students trying to solve small, everyday problems with care.

With the support of a warm-hearted crowdfunding community, Monchi became real. Its beginnings were simple, but what it’s grown to mean matters more—whether it’s bringing joy to a child at snack time or helping someone with sensory sensitivities feel a little more at ease.
